Apartments in new houses in St Petersburg getting bigger

For the last year, the total area of apartments in brand new houses in St Petersburg grew by almost 3 square meters.

From January to May, 2018 St Petersburg real estate market offered 1.3 million square meters of new housing. Apartments in these new projects have an average total area of 47.9 square meters, while last year this figure was only 45 square meters. In the suburbs the average apartment area has remained the same – 41 square meters. There is also a decreasing trend in the volume of new housing in St Petersburg suburbs.
